Does the Toyota Platinum Warranty cover oil changes?

I’m going to buy a new Toyota and the salesperson suggested that I buy the Toyota Platinum extended warranty. It seems like a pretty good deal, but I’m not exactly sure if it covers routine maintenance. Will a Toyota Platinum Warranty cover oil changes?

Unfortunately, the
Toyota
Platinum Warranty does not cover oil changes. This is routine maintenance, which does not fall under a manufacturer’s defect.
However, every new Toyota car comes with ToyotaCare, which offers free maintenance including oil changes for up to two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. Outside of this time frame, you’ll have to pay for oil changes out of pocket or do them yourself.
