Does the Tesla Model X come with Heads Up Display (HUD)?
We’re in the market to buy a new car, but after recently renting a nice Lincoln Navigator that has a Heads Up Display, I’ve decided that’s going to be a dealbreaker for me. If a car doesn’t offer HUD, then I’m not buying it. So does the Tesla Model X have HUD?

For whatever reason, Tesla has taken a strong stance against Heads Up Display(HUD) in its vehicles, despite the technology’s reputation for safety. HUD is a display of information that’s projected just below the driver’s line of sight on the windshield.
The type of information projected varies depending on the manufacturer, but it could include the speed you’re traveling, navigation information, and your car’s mechanical status. This technology was initially used by pilots to help them fly safer. Today, it similarly allows drivers to stay informed while keeping their eyes on the road.
Although the
Tesla Model X
does not come equipped with HUD, you have a few options. There are aftermarket sellers who make HUD systems specific to Tesla models. You could also download a mobile app to use your phone as an HUD projector. Or, you can consider another make for your new car. Here are some of the luxury brands offering HUD across their lineup:
Other brands, like Mercedes-Benz and Audi, offer HUD in almost every new model. And both the 2022 Toyota Prius and Prius Prime come with HUD.
