Does the Hyundai warranty cover oil changes?

My Elantra gave me a notification that it’s time to change the oil. Is this something that’s covered under my warranty or do I have to pay out of pocket for it?

Isn’t it great when our cars help us with
routine maintenance
? It makes owning a car so much easier! Oil changes are a part of routine maintenance for your
Elantra
, and that means they aren’t covered under your warranty.
Hyundai offers two warranties when you buy a new car: 10 years/100,000 miles limited powertrain warranty, and 5 years/60,000 miles new vehicle limited warranty. Neither of these cover general wear and tear on your vehicle, which includes:
  • Oil changes
  • Tire rotation and replacement
  • Light bulbs
  • Brakes and brake pads
  • Clutch
  • External damage, like scratches and dings
  • Damage caused by an accident
Luckily, oil changes aren’t super expensive. If you’re looking to cut costs, you may be able to save big on your car insurance by comparison shopping with the
