Does renters insurance cover vandalism to my car?

Renters insurance
will help protect you and your property at a rental property, but unfortunately, it will not cover your car. It will only cover vandalism against your personal belongings, but not your car. However, any of your personal belongings in your car damaged by vandalism should be covered by your renters insurance policy. That said, personal property coverage for belongings outside of the home may be limited to ten percent of your coverage limit, depending on your policy’s terms and conditions.
