Does renters insurance cover electrical damage?

While electrical damage in your apartment is concerning, don’t fret! Your renters insurance will cover electrical damage to your personal property. Plus, it is not your responsibility to care for your building or the electrical wiring.
Your landlord or property manager is responsible for maintaining the building. If there are issues with the electrical, you’ll want to tell them as soon as possible. Most landlords have a homeowners policy that will cover
