Does Jeep still have a lifetime warranty?

My friend told me that Jeep had an awesome lifetime extended warranty when he bought his Jeep, so he’s essentially covered for major repairs for as long as he owns the vehicle. I wanted to take advantage of this warranty, but I can’t find any information about it. Does the lifetime warranty still exist for Jeep vehicles?

No—the Jeep lifetime warranty was officially discontinued on Dec. 1, 2018. The lifetime warranty pertained to the powertrain system, which meant that any damage to the engine, transmission, or drivetrain due to workmanship or a manufacturer defect had to be repaired by Jeep. Eventually, this became cost-prohibitive, so the company scrapped it.
Today, you still get a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty and a three-year, 36,000-mile basic warranty on every new vehicle. You can also take that one step further by purchasing an extended warranty for a maximum length of up to eight years or 150,000 miles.
Although the Jeep lifetime warranty is gone, you can still get a lifetime of savings by lowering your
