Does Jeep have a lifetime powertrain warranty?

My friend was telling me that he bought his Jeep because it came with a lifetime powertrain warranty. That seemed a bit far-fetched to me, but I didn’t argue. However, curiosity has gotten the best of me. Do Jeep vehicles come with a lifetime powertrain warranty?

No—Jeep vehicles do not have a lifetime powertrain warranty. When you buy a new Jeep, you automatically receive a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and a 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty, but you can see these don’t last a lifetime.
What your friend might be referring to is the Jeep/MOPAR limited lifetime powertrain warranty, which was discontinued in 2020. This warranty covered an additional 7 years and unlimited miles on top of the original warranty. Twelve years was about the life span of most Jeep vehicles, hence the limited lifetime moniker.
Today, you can rely on the factory warranty, or you can add an extended warranty from Jeep or a third-party provider. In either case, you’re going to need some extra cash to buy one, so reduce your
