, only came standard with a continuous variable automatic transmission—not a manual transmission.Hybrid vehicles don’t typically come with manual transmissions, but the regular Ford Fusion came with an optional manual transmission from 2006 to 2014. Here are a few Ford Fusion models with manual transmission:
- 2014Ford Fusion SE: This Fusion trim level comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission but there was an available six-speed manual transmission.
- 2012Ford Fusion S: This model comes with the choice between six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
- 2006-2011 Ford Fusion S and SE trims: For the first five years, all S and SE trims came with the choice between a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Most of these Fusion models get up to 37 mpg on the highway. That’s not too far off from the latest 2020 Ford Fusion Hybrid which gets up to 41 mpg on the highway.
