Does driving without power steering damage the car?

My power steering fluid started leaking earlier this week but I can’t afford to get it fixed until next month. I’m not sure if it’s bad to drive my car in the meantime. Will driving my car without power steering damage it?

Driving your car
without power steering
can cause damage to your vehicle. In some states, it’s also illegal to drive without power steering since it can pose a danger to both you and other drivers on the road.
When your power steering goes out, your wheel is much harder to turn than it normally is. This means you won’t be able to react to obstructions or emergency situations as quickly.
To get back on the road safely sooner, consider asking your mechanic about a payment plan for the repairs. Fixing a power steering leak will typically cost $100 to $250, but your mechanic might be willing to work with you if you explain your situation.
