. The devil is in the details.The language in your lease agreement should outline whether your car is eligible to use for a rideshare service such as Uber. But even if your lease agreement doesn’t prohibit it, you still have another foe: mileage.
Almost every leased car has a certain mileage limit per year. Generally speaking, this averages about 12,000 miles. If you go over, the lessor typically charges 15 to 20 cents for each mile over the allotted amount. Since you’re driving the car for personal use on top of Uber, you may want to weigh the pros and cons or just make sure that you’re not going over your mileage.
