Your 2005 BMW X5’s battery is located in the trunk underneath the spare tire. To access the battery itself, you’ll have to lift up the floor of the cargo area and then remove the spare tire.
If you need to jumpstart your battery, there should be terminals located under the hood that are easily accessible. This makes jumpstarting much easier than digging your spare tire out every time your battery needs a charge.
