The 120-volt level one charger that comes with your car is sometimes referred to as a “trickle” charge. If you’re only commuting a short distance every day, it’ll work for you. However, for longer commutes, you’ll want to think about a level two charger which gets you about 17 miles per hour charged.
Another alternative is to use your 120-volt charger to give you enough juice to then top your car off at a nearby station where a faster charge will be available.
