Does adding a remote start system void an Audi warranty?

original warranty, but you’ll probably want to ensure it’s installed by an experienced professional. A Federal Law called the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1974 protects all drivers. It states that a manufacturer cannot void a customer’s warranty unless the part causes a malfunction of the problem in question. Essentially, this act allows any licensed aftermarket retailer and authorized installation centers to install aftermarket products—like a remote start system—without voiding the vehicle’s original warranty.
So, you’ll be okay if the remote start doesn’t cause any issues you want to be covered under your original warranty.
