Modifying your car to suit your needs can be a cool project! A lift kit may not void a Nissan
warranty, but the parts that you modify may no longer be covered. Nissan offers a 3-year/36,000-mile factory warranty on their vehicles. While you’re under warranty, all covered maintenance must be completed at a Nissan dealership
A lift kit raises the suspension of your vehicle higher than factory recommendations. For this reason, the part of the warranty that covers suspensions will be voided. Anything related to the powertrain and all other components that stay intact should still be covered under the Nissan warranty.
If you’re worried about coverage, check with the aftermarket company. Most have a separate warranty for their lift components—so you’ll still have a warranty on the lift kit.
