Do you still qualify for USAA after a divorce if you aren't in the military?

My ex-wife is in the military and I joined USAA while we were together. I like USAA and want to keep my bank account and car insurance through them. Would I be able to do so?

While divorces can be extremely difficult, one thing you won’t have to worry about is your
car insurance
.
USAA allows former spouses to maintain their USAA membership even if they aren’t in the military, as long as they were a member before the divorce and haven’t remarried. The only thing they’ll require is your ex-wife’s membership number.
