is illegal and could result in fines or even jail time. Also, it’s possible that the other driver will report the accident to their insurance company, and if this insurer determines that you’re at fault, they will want to seek out your insurance for reimbursement.
In short, if you have an insurance policy, you should report it to both the other driver and law enforcement, even if you offer to pay the driver out of pocket. “
