Do exhaust tips change the sound on diesel engines?
My car buddies think I should add exhaust tips on my 1982 Rabbit but I’m not sure it will make a difference. Do exhaust tips change the sound on diesel engines?

Yes! Exhaust tips will change the sound on a diesel engine just like it will on a gas engine.
Keep in mind that exhaust tips are purely aesthetic. So while your Rabbit will sound stronger and look a little cooler, tips do not enhance the engine performance.
