Do any electric cars get AM radio?

Are there any electric cars that get AM radio stations? I’ve heard that electric cars don’t have AM radios.

An interesting question! Many electric vehicle manufacturers are nixing AM in their vehicle models because of electromagnetic interference.
Electric car batteries generate electromagnetic energy on the same wavelengths as AM radio signals. So, by the time AM radio signals make it to your car’s onboard antenna, if they make it at all, the result is only a wall of static. And instead of finding a solution to the problem, car manufacturers are doing away with AM radio in their cars altogether.
After all, FM radio channels, satellite radio and on-board streaming from smartphones and smart devices are increasingly popular and will fill the void left by the absence of AM radio. Many manufacturers, including Tesla,
BMW
,
Audi
and Honda are jumping on the no-AM bandwagon.
Even with the onward march of electric cars and heightened tech in cars, some automakers are keeping dying car features and parts in certain models, like the
Honda Civic
. This is a nice nod to car owners who still enjoy a manual transmission or flipping through AM radio channels.
