One of the main problems faced by automakers when creating electric cars is the range. With so much ground to cover, drivers need to know their car can go a while on an electric battery.
And there still aren’t quite enough charging stations around the US to make long-distance drives comfortable, even with some electric cars reaching the 500-mile range point.
As more EV models are developed, we can expect to see the range and charge power increase as innovative technology continues to be developed.
Good gas mileage is still a desirable feature in gas-powered cars, and drivers want to see the same benefits in any electric models they consider buying, so having an EV that can handle 500 miles of range is a big plus.
