I'm taking my car to the dealer for some maintenance, but I'm not sure how long it's going to take. Do all dealers offer a courtesy car?

Not exactly. Courtesy cars from a dealership are never guaranteed—it’s up to each individual dealership to decide whether to offer a courtesy car. Most luxury car dealerships will offer you a courtesy car, as will some other dealers that are repairing your car if it’s bound to take multiple days.

If your dealer doesn’t offer you a car and you need one for work, you can get a rental car with

rental reimbursement coverage

. This type of coverage will pay you back for any car rentals you have while your car is in the shop. It’s convenient, and you won’t lose any money due to circumstances out of your control.

If you don’t have rental reimbursement insurance, you can always add it to your current car insurance policy for future instances. Use the
