Do all cars have black boxes?
Are black boxes standard in all cars, or are there cars that don’t have them? I want to make sure that whatever car I get has one since they seem like they would be really helpful if I got into an accident.

Not every car will have a black box, but they are mandatory on all vehicles from 2014 or later.
Older used cars
might not have a black box, although it was already pretty common before it became mandatory.If you’re unsure as to whether or not a car has a black box, you can always ask the dealer or seller about it. If your used car isn’t equipped with a black box, you might consider installing one.
