Since experts have recently discovered a way to make cars electric-powered I’m wondering if there are any other energy sources that could work for cars. Could water power an electric car?
Hydroelectricity is formed by the movement of water—not the water itself. Putting electricity in the water though releases hydrogen which can and is used as a fuel for cars.
which use hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity to power the motor. While these cars are not as popular as Teslas, they are definitely available.
These vehicles do not need to be recharged like lithium-ion battery vehicles. In order to refill them, you simply pump hydrogen gas into the vehicle which takes a similar amount of time to pump gas. Refuelling isn’t as cheap as electricity, but hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have 100 more miles of driving range in comparison to their EV counterparts.
While using an EV to Uber may seem risky due to decreased driving range, the incentives may just make it worth it and help you make more money than you would in a gas engine car.
