Can you use Zipcar without a membership?

“Although Zipcars have multiple locations all over Los Angeles, you need to have a membership to drive one.
You have a few options if you’d like to become a member. If you have a friend or family member that uses Zipcar, they could add you as an associated member. You could then use a Zipcar under their account.
You also have the option to join Zipcar yourself. There is a one time fee of $25 to apply, along with monthly or yearly membership costs. If you join and decide you don’t like it, you always have the ability to cancel your account.
Part of the reason you need a membership is so that Zipcar can be sure that you are insured when you drive one of their cars. Zipcar offers their own insurance which meets the
state insurance minimums
