How to move in 30 days will depend on factors like the distance and size of your move and how much you’re handling yourself. To help make things a little easier, here are some items to add to your 30-day moving checklist:
- Schedule a moving day with movers or reserve a U-Haul as soon as possible if you need to
- If you’re currently renting, you’ll need to give your landlord the required amount of notice or find someone totake over your lease, depending on what your lease agreement says
- Let other important contacts know you’re moving, like your employer and utilitiy provider(s)
- Make sure your updated insurance policies will be active once you move into your new place
