Can you get a DUI while driving on private property?

If I’m driving on my own property, can I still get charged with a DUI? I feel like most traffic laws are to protect other people, so if I’m on my own land then no one else will be in danger.

Yes it’s still possible to get a
DUI
even if you’re driving on private property! However, there are some states that only give out DUI charges on public land, like highways or parking lots. To find out which category your state fits into, you’ll need to research your state’s DUI laws.
Regardless of the laws in your state, however, it’s never a good idea to use substances and drive. Driving in a mind-altered state can be extremely dangerous for you, your vehicle, your property, and anyone else around you.
