Can you flat tow a 2020 GMC Terrain?

We bought a 2020 GMC Terrain for my wife, and she’s decided she wants something smaller, so we've found a buyer. We're planning on driving the vehicle to the buyer because they’re two states over from us. Can we flat tow it behind my pickup truck?

No—you cannot safely flat tow the 2020 GMC Terrain. According to the owner’s manual, the vehicle was not designed to be towed with all four wheels on the ground.
If your Terrain has all-wheel drive, you can only tow it by placing it on a flatbed or platform trailer with all four wheels off the ground. If your Terrain has front-wheel drive, you can tow it with the two rear wheels on the ground and the front wheels on a dolly.
Be sure to thoroughly read your owner’s manual and understand the basics of towing beforehand.
Before you head out for your interstate drive, make sure your vehicle is properly protected with the right car insurance.
