towing guide, you can flat tow both the 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid
and Escape PHEV, but they do not mention whether it requires AWD.If you’re planning to tow your Escape Hybrid, you will need a few pieces of equipment, including:
- Baseplate
- Safety cables
- Wiring
- Tow bar
- Supplemental braking system
- High low adapter
If you’re going to flat tow, also keep in mind a few rules:
- Only tow in the forward direction
- Ensure the parking brake is not engaged
- Place your vehicle in Neutral Tow mode
- Do not exceed a speed of 70 mph
