How do I know if my car's AC needs freon?
Is there a good way to know if my car's AC needs freon? I talked to one of my friends who's a mechanic, and she told me a lot of people's freon levels have been low lately. I live in Arizona, and my AC is vital.

Making sure your car has enough freon, also known as R-134A, is important in the Grand Canyon state because it
keeps your car cool over the hot summer months
. Here are a few ways to check if you’re AC is low on freon:- No cool air. If the air feels warm or room temperature when you turn on your AC and set it to cool, you may need freon.
- Leaks. Check around your car for any small puddles that look like grease. If you find one, clean it up carefully with gloves—freon is a harsh chemical. If the puddle returns, you probably have a leak.
Without air conditioning, mechanical breakdowns can be especially dangerous in the summer. Remember to store emergency water and an umbrella in your car to help keep you cool if you find yourself stranded.
