Can you flat tow a 2019 Toyota 4Runner?
I’m planning a vacation out West. However, I want to bring my 4Runner along so I can go on side trips while also limiting what I have to pay for gas on the trip. Can I flat tow a 2019 Toyota 4Runner behind an RV?

Unfortunately, no trim or drivetrain of the 2019 Toyota 4Runner is equipped for flat towing. The 4Runner’s transmission requires constant lubrication to run correctly. If the wheels are spinning without lubrication, you run the risk of damaging the transmission.
However, you can still tow the 2019 4Runner with a flatbed trailer. Don’t use a two-wheel dolly, as you may damage the transmission in the same way that you would if you were flat towing.
