My friend was in a car accident last week that he caused. Is Illinois an at-fault state or will the other driver’s insurance pay for the damages?

So sorry to hear your friend was involved in a collision. Illinois is an at-fault state, which means that if a driver is found more than 50% at fault for causing an accident, they are responsible for compensating the other party for damages. Let’s discuss that in greater detail:
