I want to flat tow my 2018 Chevy Equinox behind my truck on my next vacation. While I’m certain that my truck has enough towing power, I’m not sure if you can flat tow the Equinox. Can I flat tow this model, or do I need to tow it a different way?

Good news! You can flat tow a 2018 Chevy Equinox.

All trims, engines, and drivetrains of this

are flat tow-capable. As long as you put the car in neutral and keep speeds below 65 mph, you shouldn’t have any issues.

However, going more than 65 mph puts the transmission and drivetrain at risk, so avoid this at all costs. Like any other towing, consult your owner’s manual to purchase the right equipment and learn how to flat tow correctly.
