Can you flat tow a 2017 Ford Fiesta?
Next month, I’m thinking about entering my modified 2017 Ford Fiesta an amateur race, but I want to tow my Fiesta to the event. Is it possible to flat tow a 2017 Ford Fiesta?

Good news! You can flat tow every variant of the 2017 Ford Fiesta, regardless of the drivetrain, transmission, or other powertrain components.
If you have a manual transmission, follow these rules:
- Flat tow the Fiesta in a forward position.
- Put the transmission in neutral.
- Do not exceed 70 mph.
If you have an automatic transmission that uses a key ignition, use these directions:
- Release the parking brake.
- Switch the ignition to on.
- Press the brake pedal and shift the car to neutral.
- Wait for a message in the infotainment display, indicating that the transmission is ready.
- Switch the ignition off and release the brake pedal.
- Disconnect the negative (black) cable from the battery.
- Do not exceed 70 mph.
And if you have an automatic transmission Fiesta that uses a push-button start, use these instructions:
- Release the parking brake.
- Switch the ignition on by pressing the keyless start button, but do not apply the brake pedal. 3. Press the brake pedal, then move the shifter to neutral.
- Release the brake pedal.
- Wait for an infotainment message indicating that the transmission is ready, then switch the ignition off by pressing the keyless start button.
- Disconnect the negative (black) cable from the battery.
- Do not exceed 70 mph.
