Can you fail your driving test for not parallel parking?

I have a driving test coming up, and I feel fairly confident about most of the subject material. However, I’m worried about the parallel parking version of the test. Can I fail my driving test for not parallel parking correctly?

Parallel parking
is dreaded by almost every student who’s ever taken a driving test. The good news is that you probably won’t fail your driving test for not parallel parking.
In fact, 16 states don’t have parallel parking on their exams anymore, so you don’t have to stress if you live in one of these states. (Call your DMV to find out if this is true in your state.) If you live in one of the other 34 states where you need to do parallel parking, you won’t fail unless you hit another vehicle or strike the curb.
So take it slow, trust your abilities, and take solace in the fact that even a poor parallel parking job will only cost you a few points on your driving exam.
Hopefully, you pass your driving exam and get your license! But before you get behind the wheel, make sure to use the
