Can someone file an insurance claim without proof?
"My neighbor thinks my brother hit her car. He definitely didn't and there's no damage on our vehicle whatsoever. She said that she's going to submit a claim to our insurance.

“To submit a claim to your
car insurance
, your neighbor would need your insurance information. If you don’t disclose the information to her, there’s not much she can do. If she chooses to report it to her insurance company and they find your insurance information, the claim would still need to go through an investigation. Her insurance would not only be investigating the claim, but yours would as well.
If she’s unable to show proof that an accident occurred or it was your brother who hit her car, your insurance would deny the claim. She’d then be required to submit a claim to her own insurance for the damage.”
