Can my car insurance company cancel my coverage for not adding my husband to the policy?

I got married and GEICO wants to cancel my insurance because I refuse to add my husband to the policy. He has his own policy with a different company. I do not want to add him because he had a DWI last fall. Can they cancel my policy for this?
