Can Maaco fix my car’s electric window?
I know Maaco does paint, collision repair, and other auto body jobs, but I actually need to have my electric window fixed. It’s fallen to the bottom of the door, and I can’t get the button to move the glass up or down. Can Maaco help?

Maaco certainly does a lot of professional auto body work, and should be able to fix your vehicle’s electric window. The best way to find out is to contact your local Maaco shop and talk to a technician. As for why your electric window isn’t working, there are several reasons why you could be experiencing issues.
The first scenario is that you have a wiring issue somewhere, and your power window button isn’t receiving power. Unbeknownst to most of us,
power windows
use a small motor on the interior of the door that clamps onto the window glass, moving the pane up and down. When this motor doesn’t receive power, the button will stop working. Check your vehicle’s fuse box, and see if you can spot a blown fuse. The second scenario? The window glass has fallen out of the motor clamps, which is likely the case if you can hear the motor whining as you push the power window button either up or down. If this is the case, have a Maaco technician or other professional take apart your door to access the motor—they’ll know what to do. The third and most obvious instance of malfunctioning

is when the glass has been damaged, which can jarr other parts of the power window that are hidden out of sight. While most of what moves your windows up and down are hidden from view, your car insurance prices should be transparent.
