Can I use my reversing camera on a driving test?

I learned how to drive in my mom’s car, and I was planning to use it for my driving test. It has a backup camera, though, so I’m worried that I won’t be allowed to use it. Are reversing cameras allowed on the driving test?

You typically are not allowed to use a reversing camera on your driving test. However, you can still use your mom’s car for the road test, even if it has a backup camera! Some examiners will ask you to cover the screen, but most will just watch to make sure that you look at
your mirrors
and over your shoulder when you’re reversing.
Some examiners may allow you to use the camera as long as it is a feature of the car itself and not an added feature. When practicing, however, it’s best to assume that you won’t have access to your reversing camera. That way by the time you take your test, you won’t need it!
