Can I renew my driver's license online in Florida?

I just realized my Florida driver’s license expires next week, but I won’t be in the state until after it’s expired. Is there a way I can renew it online?

Don’t worry—you can renew your driver’s license online in
Florida
for every other renewal period. You can check Florida’s MyDMV portal on the FLHSMV website to see if you qualify. You can renew your license up to 18 months before it expires.
Renewing your license in the Sunshine State generally costs $48 for a regular license, but renewing online adds a $2 fee to your total. Your license will be valid for eight years after renewal.
After you figure out your license renewal, you may also want to revisit your
car insurance
policy—because chances are, you’re paying more than you need to. Don’t stress just yet—the
Jerry
app can take care of you. Just download the app, sign up, and you’ll see the lowest possible rates for whatever coverage you’re looking for in under a minute.
