Can I get a ticket for driving too slow?

I’m not exactly a confident driver, so I always go slow to feel like I’m in control. The other day I was driving with a friend on the highway. He said that I was going way too slow and that I could get a ticket. Is that true?

Even if you want to feel like you’re in control when you’re driving slow, you can definitely get a ticket for
driving too slowly
.
In most states, this type of ticket is referred to as impeding traffic or impeding the flow of traffic. It’s a minor traffic violation, but you will still get a fine and points on your license. While you’re unlikely to receive this type of citation on a city street, you can get them on highways because slow driving poses a danger to other drivers.
The next time you’re on the highway, look at the posted speed limit. Below it, you will often see another sign that says minimum speed. On most highways, this is 45 mph, so you need to go at least that speed.
