Can I change the color of my car without telling my lender?
Do I have to tell my lender if I change the color of my vehicle? I want to paint my financed car neon green, but I don't know what it will do to the value of the car. Furthermore, I'm not sure how much my lender will like it.

“You aren’t required to tell your lender about changing the paint color as it’s not a mechanical component of the vehicle.
However, you need to keep in mind that a good paint job, meaning not Maaco or another cheap paint place, can cost around $5,000.
If you go to one of these low-cost places, expect the paint to start chipping away after a year, which can cause the
