Can GEICO raise your rates for speeding tickets?

I got two speeding tickets recently. They are minor, but I'm worried they'll impact my rate. Does GEICO raise your insurance rates if you have speeding tickets?

GEICO
won’t raise your rate immediately, but they will review your driving record when your policy is up for renewal. Even if the tickets on your record are minor, they can still impact your rate. This is because
car insurance
is based on risk.
Speeding
is considered a high risk activity, which means that insurance carriers see you as a higher risk for insurance. They often will charge higher rates to reflect this risk.
However,
every carrier is different
. While your rate may increase, it won’t increase the same amount with every carrier. Some carriers don’t rate tickets negatively as others.
If your rate does increase with
GEICO
, you can always look at other carriers. Comparison shopping will allow you to see what other carriers are offering based on your current driving record.
