Are electric cars more efficient than gas cars?

In terms of energy usage, electric cars are way more
efficient
than gas vehicles. Electric cars, on average, transfer 59-62% of energy into vehicle movement, compared to a gas car, which may only use 17-21% of the fuel burned to move the vehicle. Electric cars have a lot of features that have been specifically designed to help them last as long as possible on the road while using the least amount of energy. Compared with combustion engine vehicles, electric-powered cars can travel about 43 miles on a $1 worth of electricity, while an electric car with a 30 mpg rating would only be able to travel a little over 30 miles.
