Are electric cars easier to repair?

Something that really appeals to me about driving an electric car is the simplified power system compared to a car that relies on a combustion engine. Is it true that electric cars are overall easier to repair?

It’s true that
electric cars
are in some ways less mechanically complex than their gas-powered rivals. For one thing, you’ll never have to get an oil change again! That being said, the repair of electric car parts can be expensive, and requires the know-how of an experienced
mechanic
who specializes in electric car repair.
Some examples of why electric cars require less maintenance overall include:
  • No need for regular fluid changes such as engine oil
  • Less wear on brakes thanks to regenerative braking
  • Fewer parts overall than a standard combustion engine
While you’ll save time and money on repairs comparatively, electric cars do have one rather expensive component that will eventually need replacing: the battery pack.
