A BMW X5 has how many cylinders?

I recently joined a new country club, and I love it (save for the guy who parks in the parking spot next to mine). When I pulled up yesterday in my 2023 BMW X5 ahead of my weekly lawn bowling game, Mr. Porsche Cayenne looked at my vehicle side to side and openly scoffed, yelling, “What does that thing have—three cylinders?!” He then accidentally set his car alarm off and couldn't open his door for a solid five minutes. Anyway, how many cylinders does a BMW X5 have?

Depending on the powertrain, the 2023
BMW X5
will have either six or eight cylinders.
The 2023 BMW X5 SUV is available with three different powertrain choices, two inline-six-cylinder engines or a V8 engine:
A turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine with 355 horsepower A turbocharged inline-six-cylinder hybrid engine plus electric motor that makes 389 horsepower A twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 523 horsepower
In a nutshell, the cylinders that make up part of an engine are encased, metallic, and cylindrical compartments where fuel is combusted and power is produced. As a rule of thumb, the more cylinders your car has, the more powerful it is.
This is true of the BMW X5’s engine choices, as well as your parking-spot-neighbor’s Porsche Cayenne. Cayennes boast a 355-horsepower V6, a 434-horsepower twin-turbo V6, or a 460-horsepower V8 engine. Of course, the more horsepower a vehicle has, the faster it will burn fuel—something you can bring up the next time your country club nemesis is being sassy.
