Will the Nevada DMV cancel my car registration and charge for reinstatement after my insurance lapsed?
I live in Nevada and my car insurance lapsed for just six days. My insurer notified the DMV of the lapse. Does this mean the DMV will cancel my car registration and charge a reinstatement fee?

Thanks for the question! In Nevada, if your insurance has lapsed for one to 30 days, your registration will be suspended and you’ll be required to pay a $251 fee to have it reinstated.
