How much are new brakes?

Hello! My car is almost a year old and I think it’s time to get new brakes. Can you tell me how much they cost?

Hello! I can certainly tell you how much new brakes cost!
If you replace your brake pads yourself, you’ll pay between $35 and $150 on parts, depending on your vehicle. However, if you go to a mechanic, you’ll pay between $115 and $130 per axle (parts and labor included).
As a good general rule, you should have your
brakes replaced
every 10,000 to 20,000 miles to keep wear to a minimum.
Ultimately, you can save quite a bit of money if you replace your brakes on your own—but if you’re uncomfortable, or don’t have the proper equipment, it’s best to use a professional.
It’s obvious that you value your vehicle and want to take care of it. As a conscientious car owner, it makes sense to have the best
auto insurance
possible.
