I have a license but no insurance. Can I drive a parent's car?

I have a driver's license, but no car insurance. Can I legally drive my dad's car as long as he's in the car with me and I have his blessing?

You can legally drive the car as long as you have liability coverage. Now that you have your driver’s license, you should be added to your parents’ insurance policy if you don’t have your own. This is typically required by all insurance companies. If you’re not on an insurance policy and you get into an accident, your father’s insurance will pay out the claim and this accident will be on his record, which can impact his insurance going forward.
