Age and gender typically do not play a role in deciding your home insurance premiums. Instead, home insurance carriers look at your credit-based insurance score reports to determine the premium for your policy. Furthermore, any lapses in coverage, missed payments, and some other factors play more of a role in determining home insurance premiums.
