- How the battery is used, charged, and stored
- The climate where you live
If you live in a hot climate, you’ll likely experience degradation on the LEAF’s 62 kWh battery.
The popular selling EV differs from other electric vehicles on the market because the Nissan LEAF’s batteries are cooled by airflow instead of the liquid cooling systems typically found in many EVs.
Because this air-cooling technique can be less effective at cooling, you may notice more degradation if you live somewhere that regularly experiences high temperatures.
