The primer used on a few Bronco Sport vehicles that were assembled between April 27 and May 25, 2021, was not cured properly before engineers installed the moonroof. The weak bond could lead to an inadequate attachment between the body and the moonroof frame, which, in turn, could cause the roof to detach.

Ford will start the Ford Bronco Sport recall on November 29. The car owners will be asked to take their SUVs to the nearest Lincoln or Ford dealer for inspection. If the dealer finds that the roof needs repair, they will apply the appropriate bond and install a new moonroof.
